Musings of a Purple Circle

I always knew prayer was powerful but it isn't until you see things start to happen in your own life that things really start to click.  Last week, I had a moment with Patricia about school... working so hard to achieve my dreams... and this is all I get sort of things.  So, we prayed a lot for a better week at school and viola!  It's amazing what God can do in our lives if we just ask!  So, I've been praying a lot more...thanking Him a LOT more... praying for God to bring someone into my life and let them stay!  I've been hurt so many times and yet I can still love without condition!  God has given me SUCH a capacity to love. So, where is he?  Where is my Godly guy?  It's hard when God answers us with silence.  I try to be patient but that's an area I wasn't blessed greatly in.  So, until he answers me with something other than no or silence... I remind myself over and over again that God may delay but He doesn't disappoint!

It's impossible to love one another, the way God wants us to, without getting hurt.

The question is, how do we do that knowing we'll get hurt?

8:17 AM

Dear Lord, hear the cry of my heart.

I was listening to this song on the way to school today.  Dave and Nicole wrote it!

Broken and abandoned
Abused and neglected
Wounded and rejected
That's how I come to you

Seeking some affection
Looking for peace in my condition
Seeking your direction
That's how I come to you

And you say come
All the weary come
All the burdened come
And so I come to you

Come, all the lonely ones
Turn around and run
Into these arms of love

Far away from heaven
Feeling the pain of my decisions
Running from religion
That's how I come to you

Finally you found me
Offered me strength for the journey
Greatful for your mercy
That's how I come to you

Come, all the weary come
All the burdened come
And so I come to you

With open hands
And an open heart
You call to us
To all of us from near and far

And you say come
All the weary come
All the burdened come
And so I come to you
